Merry Christmas
and Happy New Year to our Clemson Family around the world. Thank you to
our students, alumni, friends, faculty and staff for your support and
dedication throughout the year.
The
idea of turning ice into “gold” has taken Josh Luetkemeyer '15 from a globe-trotting
marketing career to Clemson’s MBA in Entrepreneurship
and Innovation Program. As he continues in the program, Luetkemeyer enhances the
immediate and long term goals for his company.
Management
major Lauren Fowler's college path has been a true journey — one that
has taken her to Italy and Spain for study abroad opportunities, and now
to a coveted internship with automaker BMW in Munich, Germany.
As 2014 comes to a close and we reflect on our successes and blessings, watch the inspiring #clemsongaveme
video produced by marketing lecturer Carter McElveen's Creative
Inquiry class and celebrate everything Clemson has given you.
Through
her career in finance, Kerri McMillan has gained many contacts in
the corporate world and often learns of different job opportunities for
her students. “I really enjoy counseling and guiding them on
potential careers. It's rewarding to help them find their niche in the
marketplace.”
Marketing
grad Bill Mitchell may have started his custom-made jeans company,
Billiam Jeans, just a few years ago, but his jeans — and his generosity —
are making a lasting impact.
Since
the federal government enacted The Freedom of Information Act in 1966,
questions surrounding the right of public disclosure, the purpose of
FOIA laws and the results of bringing corruption to light are still
topics of debate.
Economics
alumnus and ScanSource cofounder Steven Owings ’75 will receive an
honorary Doctorate of Humanities in recognition of his entrepreneurial
spirit and loyal support of his community, family and alma mater at
graduation on December 18.
