Clemson University Libraries
About the Links
- New Material reports are generated about every two weeks during the regular academic semester. In summer months and over Christmas break they are generated about every four weeks.
-
- Special links are available with many titles.
-
- Google Books offers electronic access to scanned books from libraries as well as new electronic content from publishers and authors
-
- Amazon.com customer reviews (when available - not all titles have reviews)
- Links to outside web sites found on New Materials pages are offered to enhance the experience of the patron. They generally offer added content, reviews, and opinions that can help in determining if item(s) are of interest.
-
- Because these options are provided by third parties on their own web sites, the University Libraries have absolutely no control over them, their content, or their posting policies.
-
- Linking to outside sources is at the sole discretion of the University Libraries.
-
- Generally, links are made available to:
- Library or publishing industry standard sources
- Sources that can accept a standard number in a static URL
- Library partner services
-
- Links are NOT made available to(on):
- Single source/subject websites with a narrow focus
- Advocacy web sites
- An item specific basis
- A paid/rental/barter basis
-
- The Libraries do not pay to have these links nor do we accept payment for their availability.
-
- This seems so obvious, it is a shame we have to spell it out, is it not?
