SPECIAL EDITION

Message from the Director

Greetings New Colleagues!  I want to thank all of you for your warm welcome and for the time and great ideas that you shared with me over the last several weeks to help me understand how OSP can best serve you and the Clemson research community!  In appreciation, we would like to invite you to drop by our offices at 300 Brackett next Friday, April 5 from 3:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. to enjoy some light refreshments with the OSP staff in the spirit of fellowship and collaboration as we begin a new era of OSP.

We are kicking off some new features/services that many of you indicated would be helpful:

“Research ROAR” -  This is our newly-named OSP Newsletter, to be published every Wednesday afternoon, and will contain “need-to-know” information, along with a listing of selected broad-based funding opportunities that may have general appeal across several disciplines at CU (limited submissions excluded).  If there is faculty interest in coordinating a multidisciplinary proposal, OSP will be happy to provide this service.  We are providing a “sneak-peak” with today’s inaugural Research ROAR.

Standard Form Set – We are revising the appearance and formatting of our standard forms to reflect Clemson University’s professional identity in a uniform, version-controlled manner.  The complete set will be posted to the Forms and Templates OSP web page by April 15, 2013.

Suggestion Box – As I am committed to continual process improvement, we are adding a “Suggestion Box” link to the OSP homepage.  Please feel free to offer any additional thoughts and opinions for ways that we can improve services to you and to the CU investigator community.  Messages submitted to the Suggestion Box will be directed to my personal email address only.

Again, please let me add my thanks for your time, and I look forward to working with you in the coming weeks, months and years.

Kind Regards,

Sheila
