Parents,

We want to assure you the safety of our students remains our highest priority. To date, students have received multiple notifications from campus regarding the latest news related to Hurricane Florence, which is expected to make landfall on the coast sometime today.

Because the path and timing of the storm is uncertain, officials continue to monitor weather conditions. The Upstate area is expected to feel effects of the storm this weekend with heavy rain and potential flash flooding.

Here’s what we are doing:
  • Officials remain in regular contact with local and state emergency services to make informed decisions.
  • Many events associated with Family Weekend have been cancelled. However, some programs will proceed as scheduled. Please visit our updated guide for the latest information regarding this weekend.
  • Athletics officials have changed the start time of Friday’s women’s soccer game against Miami to noon and Saturday’s football game against Georgia Southern in Clemson Memorial Stadium to noon. The men’s soccer game against Syracuse originally scheduled for Friday at 7:30 p.m. has been cancelled. Visit ClemsonTigers.com for updates.
  • A refrigerated truck has already been brought to campus to provide additional food storage, while Housing & Dining staff are on-call in the event of any power outages.
