Lever Hall Renovations

University Housing & Dining Summer Projects

The Residents in Science & Engineering (RISE) living-learning community will be moving into the Lever Hall high-rise where extensive renovations are planned for both the ground and the main levels of the building. The College of Engineering and Science Academic Advising Center will move to the first floor of Lever, allowing residents direct and convenient access to a multitude of academic resources. In addition, the newly renovated ground level will include a large innovative classroom and an open-concept lounge, kitchen and community building area.

Barnett Hall, a low-rise residence hall that houses sorority women in the Bryan Mall, will undergo a complete HVAC renovation and window replacement this summer. The project provides increased efficiency and comfort for the residents.

Schilletter Dining Hall will receive a complete makeover this summer with all new furniture, fixtures and a lounge with a fireplace for students to enjoy. The renovations also include the addition of a gas-fired pizza oven and a Mongolian Grill.

Student Parking Permits

Parking and Transportation Services

Parking and Transportation Services (PATS) is hard at work to improve the parking and transportation options for the campus community. In the past months, several new initiatives were deployed across campus, including holiday airport shuttles, RidePost, parking apps and WeCar. Visit our website for information on all of these great new services. For questions, comments or concerns, call our office at 864-656–2270 and we will be happy to help.

Returning Student Parking Permits On Sale Now
In an attempt to reduce the frustration of getting your permit in August, PATS will begin preselling parking permits for returning commuter and resident students for the 2013–2014 school year in the next few weeks. Permits will be sold online here. Freshman and new student permits will be available for purchase mid-summer.

Multi-space Parking Meters Increase Across Campus
PATS is leading the nation in parking innovations through the use of multi-space parking meters integrated with parking space sensors. There are currently five locations across campus utilizing these parking meters, which allow visitors to park and pay at the meters for up to three hours without having to obtain a parking permit. For more information on how to use the new multi-space parking meters, please visit our website here.

If you are visiting for the weekend, get a Visitor’s Parking Pass
If you are visiting and parking on campus for the weekend, you will need a visitor’s parking pass. Parking rules and regulations are enforced seven days a week. For more information about visitor parking, please visit the Visitor Information section of our website found here.
