Lisa Gagnon, MBA Director of Workforce Benefits and Well-Being As the director of workforce benefits and well-being, Lisa leads the overall strategy, design and management of the University’s faculty and staff benefits and well-being programs. In this role, she ensures all programming aligns with the University’s strategic plan for making Clemson an outstanding place to live, learn and work. Lisa directs key benefits and wellness programs that allow Clemson’s employees to nurture their health, build their wealth and cultivate gratifying lifestyles. Since she first began at Clemson in 2014, Lisa has established the Workforce Benefits and Well-being unit, a team of employee advocates who support and empower the University’s faculty and staff to live happy and healthy lives. Lisa’s early career was at Washington State University. A graduate of Clemson’s MBA program, Lisa is a member of the Clemson University President’s Leadership Institute, a leadership development program for emerging high-potential and high-perform- ing faculty and staff at Clemson. As a member of the University’s Crisis Management Team (CMT), Lisa advises and provides HR subject matter expertise as it relates to communicating with employees during emergency situations. Lisa also serves as treasurer and sits on the board of the South Carolina College and University Professional Association-Human Resources (CUPA-HR). Lisa’s husband, Ryan, also works at Clemson. They love to hike, spend time outdoors and take care of their foster pets. Michelle joined Clemson in May of 2016. Prior to this role, she was the director for business process excellence and training at Roche. Michelle attended East Carolina University where she earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology. She then attended Clemson and earned her master’s degree in human resource development. Leading the Talent and Organizational Development team, Michelle creates programs, initiatives and opportunities that inspire and nurture employees to be more for themselves and the University. The team accomplishes these goals through sustainable learning and development solutions, quality performance management processes and resources, and catered programs to meet organizational development needs. Michelle chooses daily to inspire growth, develop talent and cultivate change within Clemson employees. Michelle has been married to her husband, Daren, since 2001. They and their children, Wilson and Savannah, love to camp, kayak and play volleyball together. They all thoroughly enjoy their trips to the Disney parks in Florida. In her free time, Michelle also serves as co-leader of Girl Scout Troop #1678.
