Call Me Doctor The Call Me Doctor graduate fellows program supports high-achieving Ph.D. students who have an interest in pursuing doctoral studies in mathematics, sciences or engineering and being a member of an IBIOE research team. The Charles H. Houston Center for the Study of the Black Experience in Education The Charles H. Houston Center for the Study of the Black Experience in Education researches issues that impact the educational experiences of African Americans. PEER/WISE Programs for Educational Enrichment and Retention (PEER) and Women in Science and Engineering (WISE) educates, recruits and retains underrepresented populations in STEM fields through mentoring, academic coaching, counseling and academic enrichment. Men of Color National Summit The Clemson University Men of Color National Summit elevates African-American and Hispanic high school males to encourage and prepare students for higher education. The Erwin Center Summer Scholars Program The Erwin Center Summer Scholars Program debuted in 2018 as an initiative created by Clemson’s Erwin Center for Brand Communication. The week-long immersive experience provides college students from HBCUs and other universities an opportunity to engage with professionals in the fields of marketing, advertising and communication. The Office of College Preparation and Outreach The Office of College Preparation and Outreach (CPO) helps prepare students across South Carolina for higher education using two college access programs: Emerging Scholars and Tiger Alliance. A dedicated coordinator works with students along the I-95 corridor to support South Carolina’s rural communities. – 35 –
