The Scholar's Field Guide to Clemson University

“... at Clemson, we are engaged!” – Robert H. Jones, Ph.D. A Message from the Provost Clemson is engaged in leading the nation in workplace quality of life and professional development, with a number of resources aimed at supporting new faculty. Provost Seminars for New Faculty provide strategic skills for new faculty with themes like navigating a career in academe and developing a personal strategy for research. These four, 90-minute sessions are scheduled on an annual basis each spring. New Faculty Orientation welcomes new faculty to the University and provides essential start- up information. This one-day event is held annually at the start of the fall semester. Faculty development programs, like the President’s Leadership Institute, provide training tools and experiences for faculty. Intellectual curiosity and a passion for impacting the world are what drive our Clemson University Community. We are excited by the energy and spirit you bring to our team! – 5 –
