Clemson Families,
A few weeks ago, I was named interim vice president for the Division of Student Affairs. I am humbled by the trust placed in me by President Jim Clements and the Board of Trustees and am honored to be given the opportunity to build upon the wonderful
legacy of Dr. Almeda Jacks.
As you will read below, Dr. Jacks announced her retirement after more than 40 years of service to Clemson University. Her commitment to this institution has been beyond reproach, and she is largely responsible for creating a student experience that is
second to none. I have worked with Dr. Jacks as Dean of Students since 2015 and hold her in the highest regard because of the incredible impact she has had on the lives and careers of our
students.
We are fortunate to support some of the finest students in the country at Clemson and our university truly puts the well-being of its students as the highest priority. Our mission in Student Affairs is to empower our students to make a difference as global
citizens. We aim to do that by continually strengthening our focus of supporting student success through recruitment, retention, graduation and by increasing their value in the marketplace
following graduation.
I look forward to working with our dedicated staff of professionals as we strive to further enhance the Clemson Experience for your student. Go Tigers!
Sincerely,
|
L. Christopher Miller
