Clemson Families,
We are rapidly approaching the holiday season, which means final exams for the fall semester and graduation are just a few short weeks away. With that in mind, I thought it would be appropriate to use this space as an opportunity for reflection and celebration.
We have some of the best and brightest students in the world right here at Clemson University. Their collective spirit and exceptional character make Clemson truly one of the nation’s best public universities, as supported by recent data and national rankings relevant to both academics and campus life. As a student affairs professional, there are no greater joys than seeing our students be successful and the extraordinary pride they have in their school.
The holidays are a season of gratitude. I am beyond thankful for the opportunity to both work and interact with our students on a daily basis. I am grateful for the leadership team at Clemson and our staff in Student Affairs for cultivating an environment that enhances learning outside of the classroom. I am also grateful for you because of the encouragement and guidance you provide our students.
Over the coming weeks, we hope you will be able to enjoy some quality time with your children. We wish them the very best on final exams and congratulate those who will graduate in December. We are proud of all of our students and thank our families for the unequivocal support you have shown them along this journey.
Sincerely,
L. Christopher Miller, Interim Vice President for Student Affairs and Dean of Students
