Dear Clemson FamilyMembers,
Congratulations and welcome to the
Clemson Family! By supporting your student
through their college journey, you are just as
much a part of the Clemson Family as your
student. We hope you embrace the spirit of
Clemson and take advantage of all we have
to offer. Over the next several years, your
student will be presented with a myriad of
opportunities and experiences as we prepare
and empower them to make a difference as
global citizens.
You and your student are starting this
journey in a unique era, as our community
is navigating the COVID-19 pandemic. Rest
assured Clemson puts health and safety first,
and we will keep you informed regarding
all policies and updates to the academic
curriculum and campus life.
Through engagement with academics and
all aspects of student life, we hope our
students are able to achieve their personal
and professional goals. Clemson provides an
array of resources to contribute to student
success. This Family Handbook will guide
you through student experiences and
allow you to connect with specific Clemson
services and resources. We hope you will
take time to familiarize yourself with the
many sources of support offered at Clemson
University. Doing so will allow you to be
an integral part of your student’s Clemson
Experience and allow you to provide
encouragement throughout their time here.
We understand this time may also be a large
transition for your family. This is why we
have created a variety of communications
and initiatives for families to stay engaged
throughout your students’ collegiate
experience.
2020-21 Family Experience Calendar
• This calendar includes many important
dates, deadlines and tips to guide you
through the academic year and keep
you connected with what is happening
on campus.
Clemson Parent and Family Experience
• This communication portal is your way
to stay connected to campus events and
updates. E-newsletters are sent to you with
information on subjects you pre-select to
the email you provide and delivered as
frequently as you decide.
• We encourage you to register as a parent.

• Fall Family Weekend, Presented by Wells
Fargo, encompasses a variety of social
and academic offerings usually centered
around a home football game.
• The Spring Family Reunion weekend
encompasses many outdoor offerings
to enjoy with your student at Clemson
as the season begins to warm up. This
event is usually centered around a home
baseball weekend.
