Create and implement a plan to develop proficiency

in core competencies and technical skills; reflect on

progress and make adjustments

Attend career fairs, workshops, and professional

development opportunities to learn and practice

career-related skills, especially networking skills

Conduct informational interviews with faculty and

industry professionals to clarify career options

Explore opportunities for and participate in research;

collaborate within and outside of your discipline

Submit research findings to journals and magazines;

present findings at campus events and professional

conferences

Join university committees, student organizations and

professional organizations; volunteer for leadership

positions

Attend diversity and inclusivity training

opportunities; practice what you learn

Explore and acquire work, volunteer and/or

internships opportunities that align with your goals
